✨ Introduction: A Healthy Start for Your Little One
Starting solids with our Korean Baby Food Roadmap is one of the most exciting milestones in your baby’s first year! While global organizations like the CDC and AAP generally recommend starting around 6 months (Day 180), every baby develops at their own pace.
If your baby has strong head control, shows a keen interest in your food, and has doubled their birth weight, you may consider starting as early as 5 months (around Day 150). However, please ensure your baby is showing all the readiness signs and always consult your pediatrician before starting earlier than 6 months. 👶
Please remember that this Korean Baby Food Roadmap is based on my personal standards and is not an absolute rule. Feel free to adapt it based on your motherly intuition—after all, you are the one who knows your baby best! ❤️
💡 Reference for Parents: For professional guidelines on readiness signs, check the CDC – When, What, and How to Introduce Solid Foods or the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) – Starting Solid Foods.
📝 Three Core Principles of the Korean Baby Food Roadmap
-
🌾 Rice & Oat Base: While rice is a classic starter, adding Oatmeal provides essential fiber and nutrients, creating a more balanced base for your baby.
-
🔍 The 3-Day Rule: To monitor for any allergic reactions, every new ingredient is introduced over a three-day period.
-
🔄 The Relay Rotation: When introducing a new ingredient, I keep one safe, familiar ingredient from the previous days to help your baby adapt to new flavors without stress.
